Come spend a cozy autumn evening in Scheveningen with Laurent, May, and Maud as they share their first public performance together in an intimate living-room concert. The program features solos and duets from German, Scandinavian, and French romantic composers, alongside love duets and Italian opera favorites—something for every music lover. 

The concert, with a duration of approximately 1 hour, will unfold in an intimate atmosphere reminiscent of a cozy living room performance. Following the musical journey, we invite you to join us for a drink.

Voice - Tenor

Laurent Nadal

Laurent is a French operatic tenor who sings with equal ease in the repertoire of early music (Bach, Handel, etc.) as well as the romantic repertoire. He resides in The Hague, Netherlands, after completing his vocal studies at the Utrecht Conservatory. Passionate about German Lied and French melodies, he particularly appreciates the intimacy provided by the living room concerts he organizes with various musicians.

Voice - Soprano

May Kristin Svanholm Hegvold Nadal

May Kristin Svanholm Hegvold is a soprano from Trondheim, Norway. She studied classical singing at the conservatory of her home town, and later two masters degrees at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague, where she specialized in both early and classical singing. Her repertoire spans from baroque to contemporary opera, and she has performed roles such as Dido, Pamina, and Piacere, as well as appearing as soloist in works by Bach, Händel, and Pergolesi. She enjoys exploring both established repertoire and new creations in close collaboration with ensembles and conductors across Europe.

Piano 

Maud Ali-Cherif

Maud started playing piano at the age of seven. Today, she is a passionate teacher and her love for her instrument and music has only gotten more intense with the years. She has an extensive performance career as a solo pianist, accompanying violin, voice, choirs and flute. Maud has always been enthusiastic at sharing the beauty of music to a wide audience. In addition to playing in churches, concert halls and restaurants, she enjoys playing in less usual venues such as workplaces, retirement homes and schools.
